MASA Membership Recruiter Appointment

MASA Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Mallory Musolf, SMPH/Neuroscience Training Program, has agreed to serve as the Membership Recruiter for the 2013-2014 membership year.   As the MASA Membership Recruiter, Mallory will help the board strategize about how best to get academic staff interested in the organization and participating in MASA as members.

MASA Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Amy Rettammel has been elected as President-elect and Michelle Holland has been elected as Secretary.   Amy will serve a 3-year term and Michelle will serve a 2-year term.   Both terms begin July 1, 2013.  Congratulations to Amy and Michelle!

What Is It?
The Human Resources Design Project is a campuswide effort to build a new, more effective University of Wisconsin-Madison personnel system to better serve the needs of the university, its employees and the citizens of Wisconsin.  The new system is slated to take effect July 1, 2013.

Why Should I Pay Attention? 
The HR Design Project will affect most employees on campus, either directly or indirectly.  Knowledge is power, and YOU are your own best advocate.

What Can I Do?

Beginning April 9th: Go to hrdesign.wisc.edu and read the preliminary recommendations from the seven phase 1 work teams.

April 11: Participate in web chat* 10:00-11:00a.m.

April 12: Participate in web chat** 1:30-2:30p.m.

April 17:  Attend Campus Engagement Session^  9:00-11:00 a.m., Varsity Hall 2, Union South
